Barça’s Diego Vidal will miss Saturday’s game at Valencia with a hamstring injury, coach Luis Enrique has confirmed.
Vidal is not expected to be fit against the Valencia CF in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final first leg on Sunday (17:30 CET, Univision).
However, the Argentine midfielder was fit for the first two Champions League games against Real Madrid and Juventus and he was expected to return to training ahead of Saturday’s clash.
The Barcelona manager said: “Vidal will not be available in the match, but he is still working with the team.”
We don’t have any concrete information, but we expect him to be back to the training ground tomorrow.
“Vidal has missed the last two Champions Leagues games due to a hamstring problem and he has played only three minutes of the Champions League game against Sevilla in March.
The 25-year-old, who joined the Catalan giants from Barca in July 2016, has played every minute of their last five league games and has just one assist in his last five outings.
He has scored three goals in his four Champions League outings.
