Fox TV news channel has been reporting weather information for the past 24 hours, but its most recent report was based on a forecast for today and not the actual conditions for tomorrow.
Fox said it was updating its forecast because of a series of severe storms that were expected to hit the region on Sunday and Monday.
The report comes after the network was criticized by the government on Tuesday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi questioning the impartiality of the network’s weather forecasts.
The news channel is one of several broadcasters that have been trying to push their weather information in the wake of the weather disasters.
The Times of Israel on Monday had also reported the weather for the next two days and said the next storm to hit Israel would be “extremely violent.”
Earlier on Tuesday morning, The Times reported that meteorologists from several countries had been predicting a major hurricane, with the strongest winds of the hurricane expected to strike in the Arabian Sea.
The storm could bring up to 70 cm (20 inches) of rain to the coast of the United Arab Emirates.
